ETMS: from vehicle tracking to intelligent transport orchestration

Why we built the Enterprise Telematics Management System, how it fits together, and the AI that takes it beyond tracking.

Most organisations that move people every day, from apparel factories running staff buses to schools and public transport operators, already have some kind of tracking. A GPS unit tells them where a vehicle is. It rarely tells them who is on board, how the vehicle is being driven, or whether today's route still makes sense. ETMS, our Enterprise Telematics Management System, is built to close that gap. It is AI-powered, human-centred and ready for Industry 5.0, and it turns raw tracking into one system that runs transport end to end.

The problem: tracking exists, but it is incomplete

When we spoke to transport and operations teams, the same three gaps kept coming up:

No employee-level tracking

Vehicles are visible, people are not. Nobody knows who boarded, where, and whether they reached work on time.

No driver monitoring

Speeding, harsh braking and risky habits go unseen until something goes wrong.

Static routes

Routes are planned once and left alone, even as headcount, traffic and shifts change.

One integrated ecosystem

ETMS brings employees, drivers, vehicles, routes and operations into a single system. Instead of a map with dots on it, teams get the full picture: every trip from pickup to drop-off, attendance recorded the moment an employee taps in with a contactless card, and the context to act on it. We describe the shift simply: from tracking to intelligent orchestration.

Where ETMS is used

  • Managing employee transport in the apparel sector and other manufacturing industries
  • Managing public transport and enterprise fleets
  • Managing school transport

What it enables

End-to-end employee tracking

Monitor every trip from pickup to drop-off.

Fleet overview dashboard

Complete fleet visibility in one view.

Instant bottleneck detection

Identify delays and issues in real time.

AI-powered insights

Get instant, actionable recommendations.

Dynamic route optimisation

Adjust routes based on real-time conditions.

Driver behaviour analytics

Detect risks and predict trends in driver performance.

How it works

ETMS has three layers. Edge devices in each vehicle collect data and send it to a software backend. The backend stores it, runs the business logic and works with a large language model for the AI features. Two applications sit on top: an admin application for operations teams, and an employee and driver application for the people on the move.

AI on the edge: driver behaviour analysis

Driver monitoring starts on the device itself. GPS data (speed and heading) and acceleration from an IMU feed a TinyML model that produces a driver performance score, so risky driving can be flagged without streaming raw sensor data to the cloud.

Navic AI: ask your fleet a question

Navic AI is the agentic assistant built into ETMS. Instead of digging through dashboards, a manager can ask a plain question and get an answer drawn from both live and historical data.
